Under UK law the driver would definitely get found guilty of manslaughter get a criminal record and spend some time in jail, completely ruining their life. This quick thinker turned off the guy's mobile phone, removed his wallet and anything else that could identify him before chucking the body in the nearest wheelie bin, dumping it in the woods and cleaning off any fingerprints. Frankly, I am rooting for the killer. If that was me I wish I could think on the spot and dispose of an idiot that wasn't worth me being punished for. I just can't think of a joke about it right now and I needed to get this out.
